As for the camera, here's a hint: It's actually following an invisible object ;)[/quote:34n53qva]

Yeah I figured...
I made a nice smooth camera using the RTS behavior. :)[/quote:34n53qva]

Ah, I see. I didn't use a behavior. I did it with this:

[code:34n53qva]
+Distance (scroller.x, scroller.y, PlatformMover.ImagePointX("scroll"),
PlatformMover.ImagePointY("scroll")) Greater than 1
-scroller: Set X to scroller.x - (((scroller.x) -
(PlatformMover.ImagePointX("scroll")))/8)
-scroller: Set Y to scroller.y - (((scroller.y) -
(PlatformMover.ImagePointY("scroll")))/8)
[/code:34n53qva]

This makes the scroller scroll towards the target by 1/8 of the distance each tick. There's two image points on the platforming object, one above, and one below. I just change the target the scroller scrolls to depending on whether or not you have the down key down (when going towards the lower target it actually moves 1/12 the distance, unless you're falling, then it's 1/8).

Good work on the game so far. The engine definitely feels a lot smoother then before. Just a few crits for you:

1) I think she slides too much before she comes to a complete stop. You need to stop quickly to avoid falling into the lava pit or running into blades so its frustrating to slide everywhere

2) I had problems with the wall jump also. I think mostly because its counter intuitive to have to hold jump when on a wall, but press jump when i'm on the ground.

3) Im sure this will be fixed up, but the perspective feels weird on the ground. It looks very flat and 2d. Maybe some shadowing or proper ground tiles will fix that up.

Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I'm sorry man, I really don't know what's up with that. I could try exporting a new .exe and uploading to a new host I guess. Or maybe Sol could. Speaking of Sol, where is he?

I agree with the sliding, actually. I've just been playing with this engine for so long that I was used to it. It's an easy enough fix to tone it down a little.

And the perspective on the ground tiles is a little strange, but not uncommon in games. They'll be spiced up to give them some more depth though. Like I said, the graphics are likely to change.

As for the wall jump, it might be weird at first, but does it get easier with a little practice? I had to practice for a second to get the walljump down on your game :P. Everybody does walljump differently, its something that you have to get used to in every game. Sol and I just thought it would be easier to have to master timing on just two buttons rather than three.

If you're missing jumps, then when you grab the wall wait a split second until she starts her slide animation, push in the opposite direction, then let go of the wall. I still get impatient and try to jump too early every once in a while :P. And it might help to think of the jump button as an "aerial acrobatics" button too, because you need it to do the hand-plant move as well. Who knows... there might be even more acrobatics in the future

Oh, and thanks for the feedback :)

I remembered that I tried some years ago, to do this kinda of edditing, but, i couldn't...

What plugins you use for photoshop?
Did you use any tutorial to learn this?

Thanks, but she is getting changed for a totally original and new character though. I didn't use any special plugins or anything, I just hand drew over each frame by hand... I didn't use a tutorial either, I just kind of... did it. :)

Cheers mate. I wish there was some easy way of doing it, or a magic button... but it just comes down to practice more than anything really. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you have a clear idea of what you want to do before you get started. This will really help with redesigning existing content. Sometimes I will even make a drawing or rough sketch of what I want to do so I have a better picture in my head of how it's going to look. :)
