Chrome give up WebKit

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Thu Apr 04, 2013 10:28 am

According to this source: http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2013/04/blink/ and several others, Google is to give up WebKit engine in favor of a webkit fork, codename Blink. How would this affect ( if at all ) the way we export our projects and of course the functionality?

This sounds like good news. It sounds like it won't affect Construct 2 directly, but will allow Google to ensure their browser can keep improving quicker than before.

So, SC2 will stay with Webkit?
My question is because I'm more interested in iOS development than Chrome/Android development.

Thanks.California2013-04-04 18:24:12

That question doesn't really make sense - C2 isn't "with" any particular browser engine, it's designed to work with any standards compliant browser, which includes Gecko (Firefox), Trident (IE), WebKit (Safari) and the soon-to-be Blink (Chrome).
