Chromebooks soon to be able to run android games and apps

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Sun May 22, 2016 6:58 pm

Exciting new Chromebook will be soon supporting android games and apps to run on them. Chromebook are basically mini-PC that run the chrome android operating system. Man this could be great news but we have to wait to see the spec's on it. Hopefully Construct2 games run on it with no problems.

They already do from the Chrome store.
So I don't think you can expect a bunch of extra income from this.
Sort of like instant apps... C2's been there done that.
Except we have to jump through some new hoops.

It's probably easier to publish to the web (which runs on Chrome OS) than Android, so I'm not sure how compelling this really is. I guess if IAP/purchases work as well that could be interesting?

@Ashley I don't have a Chromebook but I was wondering can most Chromebook games work offline? I would think this is the only reason beside the IAP . If Chromebook games run offline then yes there is actually no reason to make a change that I can think of.

Same thought here. I actually prefer playing offline as it makes battery life longer without the wifi on. :D
