Click and Drag Tile Placement

Get help using Construct 2

Is it possible to click and drag to draw objects like they are tiles? By this I mean, if i select a black and blue checkerboard tile for example, and I want to make a 10x10 square of it, is there a way to click and drag the mouse around to place a bunch of them? Or do I have to do them one at a time? I know I can ctrl + click, but I still have to place them one by one with that method, and using copy paste isn't what I'm looking for either because I might not draw something in a straight line like that.arcticprism2012-09-19 16:33:34

I think the best alternative for you is to use a "tiled background" object instead of a "sprite" object.
It acts just like a sprite, but when you resize it, instead of stretching the image, it duplicates the original image, like a texture, or pattern.
You can't determine a collision polygon for a tiled background, but for a black and blue checkerboard, it'll do

I mean't something more like this for designing levels.

I checked http://www.scirra.com/forum/examples-tutorials-list_topic41594.html but sadly they are all for construct classic.arcticprism2012-09-20 15:13:30
