@OneMuppet we don't have a fixed date, but we hope it'll be next week.

I am really hoping the update will improve speeds on low end android smart phones. At the moment my app runs prefectably reasonable on older iphones (4 and 4s), on current android (s3, nexus7 )etc but not on cheaper android phones. e.g, around the $250 US mark, the difference is 28-38 FPS down to 3 FPS :(

@OneMuppet, @Nemo, @Bon4ire, thanks for the support!

@czar 2D tests are performed in a Nexus One with android 2.3.7. Below that, we can't promise acceptable framerates.

I am also very interested in the 1.4 update! Any news? I'm primarily looking forward to improved memory management which I read should be included - hopefully I read that right :)

Btw, @Ashley, thank you very much for the textbox workaround you included recently.

I actually prefer to use cocoonjs as it seems to give the best results for mobile apps. Ludei also provides the best compiling service, allowing easy access to compile your project. The only downside is the flickering splash screen that apears on phones after you compile your game and some minor sound glitch's. Hopefully that's fixed.retrodude2013-06-03 03:15:02
