Collision with only one instance

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:04 am

I want a bullet when collision with many instances of object, it will pick only an instance and destroy it. I try using pick nth, pick nearest but can't get it work.

Here's the capx:

Hmm. I'm not even sure if it's possible, because it references every single one when they exist in the exact same location.

I tried a whole bunch of things, and none worked. I'm not sure why--it should be a fairly trivial thing to do.

The only way I could 'fix' it was to apply a Solid behaviour to them all, but that's not really the fix you're looking for.

I changed it from "on collision" to "overlapping", "trigger once". And then use the pick nearest to bullet and it's work. :D

I wonder what happened with the "on collision"?

Here's the fixed for anyone want to see it: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/48963688/Capx%20only/Shooter%20fixed.capx

Thanks @brockatkinson anyway. :D

it got it to work with collision ,

first pick all instances and then pick nearest

@ashley not sure why pick nth instance not working in this case?

Could you have also done it with 'Pick top/bottom'?
