Color coded nesting

New releases and general discussions.

Intending stuff is not enough to tell nested events apart. It would be easier to recognize nested events by using different frame colors (in contrast to parent events). Like this:

Hi, I am busy parent that never comes to kid's shows![/color:1piwncns]
+ Hello, I am the kid that pees onto your lawn![/color:1piwncns]
++ Woof! I'm the kid's puppy![/color:1piwncns]
+++ And I am a flea on the puppy's tail.[/color:1piwncns]
+ Hi, I am the girl that likes to turn music to the max![/color:1piwncns]
++ Yawn... I'm the girl's deaf cat.[/color:1piwncns]

Just an idea.

yeah that could be useful in the event editor where you have different coloured expression things like MMF2s, I think they call it syntax or something, not sure.

Have you noticed the event sheet editor already draws vertical lines down beside subevents to help you see the nesting level?

I think this would end up to be a little more distracting than helpful; i've always seen it as clear where subevents are.

never had trouble with nesting either. colors could make it harder to read.

I'd love to see coloured nested function block in Visual Studio ;--).
