    Link to 0.99 changelog

This build fixes some of the bugs introduced by the 0.99 release. If nothing serious is found with this release, it can be marked stable, but until then it should still be treated as unstable.

    Known problems

Any conditions involving controls in the Mouse & Keyboard from 0.98.9 or earlier won't work until you double click to edit them, then click Finish. This is because a new parameter was added to it since 0.98.9, and it will display as %1 until you do that.

    Update 25th May 2009:

Rotating layers can result in objects disappearing. This is fixed in the next build.

    Changelog

    Behaviors

    • [FIX] Physics not working properly
    • [FIX] Platform teleporting near walls
    • [FIX] RTS movement: waypoint actions didn't set object moving
    • [FIX] Typos in Ball and Platform
    • [FIX] Car movement: 'On bounce' not triggering
    • [CHANGE] Bullet: 'On range exceeded' can trigger again after using 'set range'

    General

    • [FIX] Old .cap files now have a default object folder added, fixing some problems
    • [FIX] Links in behavior properties are hidden when multiple objects selected (IDE crashed if one of these links was clicked)
    • [CHANGE] Removed redundant resources bar button from ribbon

    Plugins

    • [FIX] Sprite: 'Spawn object' action crashed if specified layer/object didn't exist
    • [FIX] Canvas: drawing a line went to wrong coordinates
    • [FIX] Image manipulator: crash copying to/from sprite/canvas
    • [FIX] Minimap: draw terrain didn't work

    Runtime

    • [FIX] Errors in rotation and collisions
    • [FIX] Accuracy of 'every' events improved.
    • [FIX] Fixed framerate mode no longer accelerates after recovering from a slowdown
  • ahh, works much nicer!

  • Unfortunately, the problem I have with the big cap still isn't fixed... I hope Dave fixes it. It would pose a nasty roadblock for large caps, and more or less prevent the new VRAM controls from doing their job right and defeating their purpose.

YES! I've been waiting for this, and i was hoping you'd fix it. THANK YOU!

I noticed that my caps still work without doing the double clicking thing, any ideas?

  • Awesome, downloading now!

Basic controls will still work, but if you have any "On Control pressed" or "While Control is down" events then you will need to fix the player setting.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • There's still some pretty major rendering glitches with both sprites and tiled backgrounds in Vert. I guess I'll upload a .cap to the tracker so you can see what's going on.

The rotational thing seems to be fixed, though. I hope Davo can take the time to get the plat-jitter bug tackled for the stable release (crosses fingers )

Keep up the good work, guys

  • Another fix, awesome.

  • TONKS works perfectly apart from the canvas object... it's not working the way it used to. Really need to have someone take a look at it on chat or something since it's a little hard to explain exactly what it's doing.

  • I get an error upon loading construct:

    Error loading C:\Program

Files\Scirra\Construct\Plugins\RTSMov.csx (14001) - this plugin may not be available!

And unsurprisingly, RTS behavior doesn't work/show up anymore.

  • Canvas was drawing lines to wrong coordinates, but that was fixed in 0.99.2. Is there another bug with it?

  • Arima: whoops, that should be fixed in the next build.

Mipey: I don't know, is there another bug with it? It was working for me after the fix.

  • Nice quick fix!

The line drawing seems to work properly, but Soldjah is reporting trouble with Canvas. I don't know what could be wrong.

  • There's a weird bug I get when importing an old project. There's a title layout and the game layout. If even a single event is active on the title screen (no matter how insignificant) then the game layout won't run, even if ran independently.

I'd show you but it also won't let me save it. "Unhandled Exception"
