This build refuses to run.

I thought there could be a conflict due to installing 0.99.4 alongside 0.99.3 (the only other Construct build on this computer) but then I tried uninstalling both and then just installing 0.99.4 and it made no difference. Tried restarting, too.

I notice this happened earlier when another user was using sandboxie, but I'm not. I'm just trying to run the program on a normal Windows XP installation.
Here it is:
http://files.getdropbox.com/u/529356/LOS%20bug.cap

Run this in 0.99.3 to see what it's supposed to do, then run it in 0.99.4 to see the difference. A hotfix on this would be super-swell :D (that is, if it's easy to do and stuff...)[/quote:2swxv80x]

awesome work, so many nice things.

Just hopes for a LOS hotfix :P[/quote:2swxv80x]
LOS workaround is to set from 360 angle range to 361 nad it will see all around.[/quote:2swxv80x]

Yep, it seems there is an easy workaround for this. And apparently the issue is that if the angle difference between the two objects is exactly 180 then that's where the problem occurs. As Doppel pointed out in chat, if you flip the eye around 180 then the problem happens on the right side instead of the left.

Anyway, the 361 fix should work for now :D

Hmm, I'm thinking I set up the build config wrong on my new laptop, which might be causing the incorrect-config errors. I think I know how to fix it and I'll try follow up a new build soon.

my apps get that when i dynamically link /MD in linker settings instead of statically linking with /MT. otherwise theres tons of dependancy issues with redistribution. msdn tries to explain it but i have never figured it out. give it up to microsoft for making everything so damn complicated.

Well, this release installs and runs ok, but anything I try and preview with the build gives the same error message about an unexpected error occurring.

I was looking forward to giving the Xbox360 controller plugin a good workout, but there's nothing I can do with this build.

Sponge.
