Construct 0.99.42 released (stable)

New releases and general discussions.

Quit whining it's stable for a beta release.
The 3d box is not a major function. It is an experiment that lived, end of story.
Look at it this way, would you rather have a complete 3dbox with limited functionality, or sprite mesh that can replicate, and even surpass it?

complete 3D box with limited functionality?
Is it complete or limited?

Anyway, both. 3D box and sprites ;) And Construct isn't stable not just for this.
Why was this build called stable.. WHY[/quote:2ax4ntis]
Oh god , transitions don't work.
this is actually a terrible build[/quote:2ax4ntis]if you disagree with the alleged stability of the build, then suggest or discuss maturely. The exaggerated angst and righteous outrage aren't productive. Use 98.9 if you don't think this is stable.
report bugs, and be thankful that a small group of people are here to listen to all our suggestions, and are willing to incorporate your feedback as they continue to refine, develop, and support a powerful free game development tool.

Word.

Writing development tools is actually pretty fucking hard, so be happy that the boys are doing what they're doing.

Just a few things to add:
1) I asked for feedback on if people thought the build was stable earlier in this thread - all the feedback I got was positive (so it's more helpful to get your thoughts in sooner rather than later)
2) I had a brief review of the bug tracker to help me decide if the build was stable and there was nothing serious on it - so if you find problems submit them as bugs
3) You don't have to use this build if you are still experiencing problems - feel free to go back to 0.98.9 (since any wise person using beta software will keep backups!)

I am rarely, if at all, using the features that you guys are reporting as broken. From my perspective, 0.99.42 appears stable enough. See, everyone among us uses Construct differently, most of us barely touch features you use extensively, so our experience is going to be different.

Notice that mostly reported issues get fixed. Ergo, if you want a stable build, report issues you encounter, they will get fixed eventually. Don't just count on someone else doing it for you. ;)
