Valve is allowing software to be sold soon through Steam, and Scirra might decide to sell C2 on steam.

Good idea!
It would be awesome!
Steam would be a massive way to tempt more people to do games with C2!

If it gets approved, I could try my hand at making a full-blown PC game instead of an app or browser game. And the two-man team known as Scirra might even become a three-man team!

It's not exactly confirmed as your topic title would suggest.

Just to echo that this is not officially confirmed in any way. It's an interesting idea, but we need to take in to account things like the cut Steam take, Steam's API and possibly required DRM, then we also need to actually get it approved and they might decline us. So who knows. We'll look in to it though.

Good to hear of this possibility, saw the news earlier today and it didn't cross my mind Construct could be marketed there!

When Construct 2 has .exe format can't we just publish it onto steam via greenlight anyway?

The thought of Construct 2 with required DRM (aka the bane of the game industry) is so unpalatable that I think it would make me stick with CC.

Great misleading title btw.
