Aw man, I can't believe I missed that!

Still might pick this up soon. Wasn't aware that anyone had written something this extensive on Construct. Good job!

It's worth pointing out that Packtpub has a sale on right now where if you buy more than one book you can get each book for $5. I know which certain Construct book I'll be picking up!

Edit: The sale ends on January 3rd!crowtongue2012-12-31 19:54:06

Picked up a copy recently, valuable resource for a beginner such as myself. I feel I have a much firmer handle on the basics behind using event sheets and the simple act of navigating the interface. Now I just need a better grasp of graphic art and how to transfer said art into Construct without pixelating it beyond all recognition ;)

@TheDragonfly, Thanks! Looking forward to seeing the games you produce

As for transferring art, Paint.Net is a great free tool but as long as your program exports to PNG's with transparent backgrounds you can then import images with transparent colors into Construct.

For solid colors, you can also copy images from MS Paint as long as the background is RGB color (255,0,255) which is a bright pink instead of white (as this is what Construct Classic uses for backgrounds).Jayjay2013-02-20 00:04:46
