Creating a smooth open door effect

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Oct 08, 2013 11:03 am

Hi!

I am trying to make an open door effect, a simple one just from the front. So what I want to do is for the door to smoothly open to the other side (Kind of what you can do with css3 effects, example here: http://jsfiddle.net/aV76H/)

If you can help me, would be great! Thanks! :)

It can be done with masks if using flat colour, but are you planning on using a texture?

I'm going to be using an image. It doesn't have to be functional gamewise - I'm just looking for the visual effect :)

You could try making an animation for it?

skewing sprites is not supported in Construct2. But this effect is easily created in animation or by using multiple sprites to create the square and triangle parts and manipulating those.
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..
