shinkan wrote:@imaffett Thanks for the info.

And I confirm that CW14 works great!
Just build and tested my game on my samsung galaxy s3 and it works perfect! Comparing to CW12 it's a milestone. No junk, no slowdown. even when my game drops to 45fps for some time, the movement was still smooth, while on CW12 it looks like a stop motion movie :D

Well done, Thank you!

Strange, for me the performance is horrible with Crosswalk 14 (embedded).
After a few seconds it's really janky and stuttery. I haven't changed any settings from my previous Crosswalk 7 build.
Will try a new project but disappointed :(

Well, my game works pretty fine on CW12 - 55-60fps but sometimes junk and small freezes were noticeable with fast moving objects or camera movements. In CW14 game stays almost all the time on 60fps and no junk at all. So you may check again your project and make sure your events are fine.

Special thanks to @ashley, @egyptoon , @lola and everyone who participated in the thread. It was this community that helped the Crosswalk team identify the bug and get it resolved. Numerous people provided APK's, device types, and OS versions that replicated the problem. The Crosswalk team reproduced it with a known device/app and found the fix. It's been resolved now in Chromium source too.

@imaffett, thank you, this update is really a big step up. Like @shinkan mentioned, the biggest improvement when testing out my game, is that previously when the frame rates drop to mid 50s and below, it stutters very visibly. Now, even if it is at low 50s, the stuttering is very minimal. That makes the game so much more playable. As for fps, there is a slight improvement, for my game it is around 5fps.

Again, thanks, this was a great update, can't wait to see how much more Intel XDK can improve in the near future.

Depends on what you think is better, performance, or full c2 compatibility, Canvas+ still has better performance, Crosswalk is fully compatible with all c2 features (AJAX, forms, letterbox etc.) but performance, on some devices - no more than 40fps and size of compiled apk = size of your game + 20mb overhead, you can try shared mode in XDK for no overhead, but i don't know much about it's performance and other stuff.
