@imaffett, good to know, thank you. I was hoping for some way to test out the latest Crosswalk versions in XDK.

The Crosswalk team has created an APK to test your app using a proposed fix for the Skia graphics system used in Android/Chromium. Can you please test your apps against this and report any improvements or issues? The feedback provided previously was valuable in helping identify any issues

Please up a version that has rotation support. My current project is portrait, and skia test only runs landscape.

I tried this out with another game and am glad to report that it seems to be a solid improvement over cw11/12. Don't know about stock cw13, haven't tried it.

Back to skiatest: sub-60fps framerates are still causing much worse disruptions to motion quality than in cw7. On my device, just touching the screen causes a slight fps dip into low to mid 50s. In skiatest, this causes bad stuttering. Only slight stuttering in cw7. FPS is about the same in 7 vs skiatest, both normally, and during touch events.

i tested my game on this apk,
test device: Galaxy s3 mini.
fps= 5 :shock: !!!! max: 10 fps :x
test it on your device and tell me the result

test game: Propaganda

Samsung i9300 Galaxy S III - Android 4.3 & Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 SM-T320 - Android 4.4
Skia - I run only one test on i9300 with fps over 55, so didn't need to test it further. Both devices = no problem

Now devices which always have problems when running C2 games. I also run cw7 shell for the reference.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T110 - Android 4.4.2
Skia - fps 3-12
cw7 - fps 19-30

GIGABYTE GSmart Guru G1 - Android 4.2.1
Skia - fps 5
cw7 - fps 30

Cw7 still performs best. I tried one more test with cw12 on Galaxy Tab 3 and got 12-18 fps, which is worse than cw7, but better than Skia.

I'm pretty sure that all the devices of the previous posts have blacklisted GPUs, Galaxy S3 Mini for sure (I had one too).
Is this experimental apk skipping the chromium GPU blacklist like the official Crosswalk builds?
If not, this may explain the huge performance difference.

I didn't test canvas2d. I don't plan to support it for my game.

Anybody compared webgl perf on a lower end device?

Also, is there a cw13 shell up somewhere for comparison?
