Centerx would be the x of the object you want it to stay at, angle would be the angle of that object as well. Distance would be how far that image point is from centerx.
Same goes for y, just use sin for angle.

I suppose you could store distance in a variable to be able to change that easily.

@newt: But in this case I will be changing the position of the object and not the origin point / image point and so I can not properly position the sprite in the grid. Is not it?

You don't have to do anything with the image editor. That formula is essentially how image points are set up.
The only thing you have to watch out for is changing the parent object's angle.
