Destroy After Fade Not Working?

Hi, all-- I have an object that fades out after a collision with another object, but even though I have the 'Destroy After Fade' option turned on and have even tried to trigger 'Destroy' after 'Fade End' in my event sheet, it does not get destroyed (other objects can still collide with its invisible form).

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

it should work :/
at least it does on my objects in my game..

That's weird - what version of C2 are you using? I'm still on R221 because of a current project I'm still working on - I don't want the update to potentially break any plugins I'm using before I'm *finished*, but the problem doesn't exist in R221 at least.
