Best car suspension with spring effect and very cool terrain generation.
  • Example showing destructible terrain in 0.95 using the Canvas object and Update Collision Mask. Control the red sprite as a platform movement, and click to cut a circular chunk out of the terrain. This is done by pasting a sprite with an Erase effect. Updating the collision mask then allows the platform movement to respond to the change.

  • Nice now we can do things like destructible walls or make worms-clone.

    Nice work.

  • VERY nice

  • Well I guess I already mentioned it, but 0.95 is just great!!!

  • This cap is crashing when I run it. Have installed 0.95 and also the new fancy update fixes dialog box has been updating all components. I have not yet tried to restart the computer. I will do that when I get time.

    The error dialogbox has Microsoft visual C++ runtime library.

  • Can only suggest you uninstall and delete all previous builds then reinstall. Nothing else I can think of could cause it.

    List your specs, anyway

  • How do I remove previous builds?

    I have tried uninstall and install. Same thing happends.

    I also notice that if I edit a sprite I can't copy or save it. The save button is grayed out. Tried ctrl+a to select all and nothing happends. Tried selection box and ctrl+c but no image could be copied.

  • this rules

  • I'm sure this is nice if it could work on my machine.

    Does somebody have a video clip I can view?

    I also removed all sprites and scripts but the cap still crashes.

    What properties is using the latests features?

    Thanks!

    This is really cool.

  • Is there any way to make it so when you do something like this:

    <img src="http://machriderx.googlepages.com/Clipboard01.gif">

    The floating portion that is left behind falls down, complete with physics and all?

    E.g.:

    <img src="http://machriderx.googlepages.com/Clipboard02.gif">

    That would be pretty awesome...

  • WOW! I was shocked when i seen it!

  • This seems nice, but is there any way to get it to work without the mouse? The Canvas object seems to be very strongly tied to the mouse co-ordinates, and I can't find a way to paste in the 'damage' object wherever I want (i.e. without clicking somewhere).

    Any advice on how I could do this? I guess I could use the DrawPoint function to draw an array of pixels, but that really seems like it shouldn't be necessary.

    Well I am still very new to construct, but after trying out this example I was amazed at how simple destructible terrain could be. I was excited to implement it into my games. Then I read your post and thought to myself this doesn't sound right, if this is true that doesn't make it very useful at all. So really quickly I thought I would open up construct and see if I could do it without the mouse.

    I attached what I did, its nothing special but press "Z" to drop metroidesque bombs lol.
