I'm not sure your going to get a straight answer. Wii U developers are under NDA not to talk about anything regarding the tools and stuff. However all i can say is that this would be in Nintendo's ball court. And I suggest checking up on Block Drop U. It's done with C2.

Looks like the the game plays from the touch screen of the wii u pad. Ashley may be more familar with the NDA to fully disclose if this is possible. Otherwise i would love to be more open and answer your question directly.

Off-topic,

Why Nintendo is being very closed than Apple, Google, Blackberry and other companies offer support to developers?

Sony and Microsoft would do the same. That's how consoles work. Their libraries are quite curated--unlike those other platforms. Once you are approved for Wii U development, they're extremely open, helpful, nice, and quick to answer.

@C-7

But Nintendo can't approve some developers who live in different countries

Wii U development with C2 is very closed here, Nintendo has forum for developers who use Nintendo webframework, it's only for approved developers.

This is wrong forum to ask how to use Wii U plugin or tool here.

You shouldn't develop for Nintendo.

You'll be trapped in their NDAs without any support whatsoever for your issues, since you won't be able to ask for help here in the forums, even if the issues you need help with aren't necessarily wiiU related.

Besides, Nintendo is a sinking company, historically with an antiquated closed mentality.

Think about it: you don't even know if your games will work with two screens, and you cannot ask anywhere - you must sign a contract that gives away your rights in order to even know the answer to that question. Does that seem worth it to you?

**** Nintendo.

@Fimbul - that's a bit extreme and unnecessary. It's been publicly pointed out in this thread viewtopic.php?f=158&t=95568 that Nintendo has a forum for support.

The 3ds is doing well even if the wii u isn't, and even if they can't salvage the wii u - which they actually did a great job at e3 with it - Nintendo has plenty in the bank to survive.

Besides, if C2 ever gets the ability to export to export to ps4 or xb1 it's likely they'll have similar setups with NDAs and their own systems for support as well.
