I took a look at it and made a very simple fix for this.
I simply took your event were the goomba hit a wall and used that for when goombas collide with each other, using collision at offset to determine which goomba should start moving in which direction.

It's probably not completely foolproof though.

Also, even though they are old files, check out deadeye's Platform School, since it deals directly with your issue. I haven't checked the update made by someone else, but I bet you they did as well.
