Drag n Drop + Physics Bug

Report Construct 2 bugs here.

Post » Mon Apr 03, 2017 9:47 pm

Moving a DnD element with immovable solid behavior freezes physics on physics object once the object has come to rest.

This replicable in C2.

Moved to C2 bugs forum since this is really a C2 bug.

Hi @Ashley!

Will this bug be fixed in the next build? This is important for my physical game.

I'd add that this demo involves moving an immovable object, which is presumably not something the physics engine expects and should not be surprising if it produces odd results. This may be closed as won't fix, I haven't had much time to take a look yet.

@Ashley thank you for answer!

it's a pity that you don't fix it, in r239 it works and my game uses this feature. Now I'll have to do something to get around this problem in new versions of construct.

Which is the first build that it stops working in? That is always a critical thing to know in a bug report.

Hi @Ashley !

I figured out my problem. I forgot that I do not use DnD to move immovable physic object, but I assign it the coordinates of Touch and it works in my case. The problem of DnD + Physics is reproduced in both r239 and in other versions, so if this is not bug, then you can close it.
