Dungeon.Sec (For HBGames Contest)

Introduction

The creation of Dungeon.Sec (Dungeon Security) was inspired by a few things. First Iv always been a bit of a human rights Hacktivist (cough) I mean Activist :) Second I really, really love the movie V for Vendetta if you have never seen it you really should it tells such a powerful story. And third I really wanted to make some kind of a tribute to Anonymous for all the good that they have done in this world, and continue to do. With 100 events I just hope it's a start.

You will play as an Anonymous member of an elite security team known as Dungeon.Sec. Your objective will be to hack your way through the evil, and corrupt governments underground dungeon security system in the shortest time possible all while trying to stay alive.

This game is a dungeon, puzzle, platformer containing 8 levels of of non stop edge of your seat intense fun! Each level is timed, if you die the timer for that level will reset but that time you played until death will be added on to your total game time so don't die :D

Game Controls

Use your arrow keys to move around, press Z to jump, and P to pause.

Conclusion

For me entering this contest was all just for fun :) And a lot of fun I have had :D I also learned a lot, this was my first platformer. I wouldn't have ever thought it possible to make an 8 level game in less than 3 weeks using only 99 events before I entered this contest.

Ha ha! Very funny and challenging game man. Good job. I couldn't go to the 8 level but I had a lot of fun paying it. You can't imagine the number of times I said the F word every time I died. :D.

I've also been following your progress through your HBgames thread. I hope will continue to add levels. By the way, feel free to try also my game and leave me some comments. I will appreciate. You can play it through my signature.

Thank you anthony :) You should try to finish the game. I tried to give it a ending that gives you a rewarding feeling of satisfaction. I haven't been getting much feedback but one of the other two people at HBGames that commented on it liked the ending :) I did put a pause feature in it if you get stressed playing it just hit P, and do something else for a while then try again.

I don't know maybe I made it to hard. It's not easy to know when you were the one that built it, and the only one that tested it.

I really got to try harder to make some friends or nobody will play my games.

O'ya I played your game, and left a comment. I really loved playing your game it was a lot of fun :DWink2012-04-01 06:22:17

No no Wink. Don't worry. you didn't make the game too hard. It's just because I really suck :D. I will try again until I beat the game. If you know the game "super meatball", you should know how much this game is difficult but people still love the game that way. I think it's the same for yours. You put the perfect amount of difficulty. I will let you know when I will beat it. ;)

Thanks again for your comment about my game and I'm sorry for that bug. It should be fixed with the newer version I submitted. I think it's a Google Chrome + Construct 2 mixed bug.anthonykojima2012-04-01 06:35:50

Keep promoting your game and maybe there will have some feedbacks if they have time to post, it's same my game didn't get much feedback, there a reward is your experience. So keep making new games with your new ideas and keep promoting forever... let's see what happens in the result.

Good luck!

@anthony It's ok I appreciate constructive criticism it helps me improve my game design :)

@Joannesalfa Ya, your right I just have to work harder at marketing :) There is so much to do when your a one man team. I cant possibly imagine what poor Ashly, and Tom must go through on a daily basis trying to develop this incredible software, and run this company being only a two man team.

I'm going to go, and start playing all the games entered now. I will give you some feedback on your game after I'm finished.

Thank you, and good luck to you too Joannesalfa :)

Hoooray!! I beat the game. Nice end too. My score 466!
Actually, it was not that difficult. I just sucked. Once you get the good timing, the game is really enjoyable. I loved your game. Waiting for more levels dude.

Thanks man!! I'm currently making some sprites for a game project on C2, but it's takes too long to paint/render every frame!! Animation can be a pain the a** hahaha! Hope I finish it soon though!
