Using a freeware tracker that emulates the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive soundchip:
http://shiru.untergrund.net/software.shtml

Anyhoo:

All there, free for download (click on image to go to album page).

Nearly 20 minutes of FM/Mega-Drive music. Many tracks not listed in the OP are found here.

If you want a .zip, look no further!

Recommendations from the Emperor himself:
Funland
IronLife Rhythm
Effectual
^^this one has got almost a Celtic feel to it, i dunno. I like Celtic :p

But yeah, download or listen, or something.

The tracker is a really cool program that I recommend aficionados of 16bit music to pick up and experiment around with. It's good stuff.

The link in my sig has my newgrounds page. Now, newgrounds sucks a whole lotta dick, but hey, it's somewhere to put my music... though i should probably get a soundcloud or something.
I also do SNES-style, 8bit, and occasionally, ambient, funk, and classical :-p

Sorry to clog the board with another "My Music" topic.
Check out my VGM on my soundcloud page!

They asked for it, and I deliver

Armstrong Houston, All-American
The Magician's Revenge
Agamemnon
^This last one is kind of Squaresoft-ish... probably because I used Secret of Mana instruments :p

Those are sweet too, ever played Plok? That last song had a similar feel to it. Probably my favourite game for music on the SNES.

Very nice! I love the SNES tracks, they sound authentic. What I really love is the way each song has a minor back story provided by solely the name. I had a clear picture of Armstrong in mind while listening to the song, haha.

I have a soft spot for SNES instrumentals though. :D

Yeah, Davio, I grew up with the SNES sound, and for a long time I thought the Genesis soundchip was shit (which, for the most part, it was). However, it was awesome mixes by people like GeckoYamorithat made me take a second look at the cool unique nature of the FM chip.

Also, thank you the rest for all of your supportive comments! It's nice to know that some folks enjoy some of my music!

Anyhoo, speaking of the SNES, I made a new Super Nintendo track, for a sequel of a Construct game I haven't finished yet :P

Soundcloud, because it's easier.

Sound like a shmup level? No? Oh well, I was going for something along the lines of Tamayo Kawamoto, one of my favorite VGM composers (along with .YACK and OGR from Zuntata).

But hey, said game is roughly 90% done (just need to do intro and credits graphics), so the Your Creations forum will be seeing that soon!

Then I work on perfecting my fallen-to-the-wayside platformers.
