[Editor suggestion] - rotate/scale many objects

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Sun Nov 25, 2012 3:28 pm

Hello all,

I think one of the biggest features missing from the editor is the ability to properly scale/rotate groups of objects properly. At the moment, if I select a bunch of objects in the editor, and try to rotate or scale, they will all rotate and scale individually, without updating positions to keep the same initial arrangement.

I'm confident that this setup is fairly useless - I cannot really see a situation in which this would be beneficial. However, I think many users would benefit from the ability to scale and rotate groups of object properly.

How many of you agree?

I agree sqiddester, i posted about this same request many builds ago. This is a standard feature in many image editing programs similar to photoshop or illustrator.

There has been a multitude of occasions which i had to rotate, scale individual objects just to re-position them within the layout when they could have been easily edited (Scaled, Rotated)in a few seconds with a single click. The current set-up is time consuming and non-productive. If we can select objects as individual groups and have the ability to scale and rotate them as a single unified object we will make this a better editor and be more productive at the same time.Animate2012-11-27 05:45:00

It's been on the todo list a while, along with loads of other stuff. Can't give an ETA I'm afraid!
