[effect] Flash to White

Hi L&G

Don't know if this fx exist on C2.. but usefull for game i think..
I am studiying glsl functions.. and like DOT .. product of two vectors..
Basically the color oscillating from limit to white .. let's play with this fx.
The author of this little fx is ... ME :)

Just modifyed to bypass alpha channel; in this case the transparent background is not affected .

awesome now i can get my daily seizures :D


How to achieve it :

1 Set speed to max

2 Set Limit to max

3 Watch for 10 seconds

4 Drop on floor and start having seizures ..YAY!:D

5 Achievement unlocked.



Awesome flashing effect :D can colors be added to it?

Let's look first color table of nes used in this fx;
TRY_COLOR (vec3 (000.0, 088.0, 000.0));
TRY_COLOR (vec3 (080.0, 048.0, 000.0));
TRY_COLOR (vec3 (000.0, 104.0, 000.0));

I would like to change this color table by custom then go to here : http://html-color-codes.info/

Blue like color is ; rgb format 35,65,174.. so edit nes color table
TRY_COLOR (vec3 (035.0, 065.0, 174.0));
for red
TRY_COLOR (vec3 (255.0, 000.0, 000.0)); etc.....

Try to play like this and look the result ...

Thanks for the help! My biggest trouble was getting around the dithering effect but I found out what to delete.

Hi there @Gigatron, loving this effect!

Is there a method so that it just goes to white and then back to the original image,

At the moment it goes to black / invisible which is the bit I'd like to remove.
