    The Objective of the Game is to become self sustaining in the void of space. To not need anyone and remain self sustaining despite actual obstacles such as enemy NPCs, enemy players, and limited resources.

    Piracy, Mining, Trading, Exploring, Get Lost in Space and setup a space station and conquer other player's sh*t MMO! You can go anywhere, and completely get lost. All objects are randomly generated and remain persistent. Player Owned Stations, Planets, Moons etc...

  • Looks awesome. But the problem in that kind of indie mmo shooter is always the fluidity getting low when the server is surcharged.

    Correct, not only is the universe infinite, but we're doing a Kickstarter project now soley for the hardware backing.

    I've written a script that can detect with zones have the most people and automatically place them on a separate server node. These nodes are provided by Viawest Denver, run SSD and can really pack a punch when it comes to relaying data.

    With that in place, this could really work.

    It really is, you can go virtually anywhere and setup your little empire, or just "try" and take over someone elses. You just need a fleet and buds.

  • Did you get any of the Socket.IO plugins to correct minify or did you build your own? Cause I never got them to.

    This game looks neat and I'd hate to hear you deploying without minifying it first. :C

  • Just one minor thing on watching the video - would be to add animation to text objects/icons for things like construction, or even better, a progress bar of some kind.

    Looking forward to see this develop, the part where you're about to travel to another section and another ship swoops in and destroys it was pretty funny.   <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
