Event When Two Objects Aren't Touching?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sun Sep 25, 2011 2:30 am

First time poster, I used Construct classic once or twice back in the day, and found Construct 2 earlier.

One thing I haven't seem to figure out is how to trigger an event when two sprites are no longer touching. As if one sprite was a button, and the other was holding it down, and an event would trigger if the other was lifted.

Any ideas on how to do this without Python (I do know Python, but I'd like to be able to do this without too much coding)?

Thanks in advance.

Negate an 'is overlapping' condition and add 'trigger once'.

e.g.

+ A is not overlapping B
+ Trigger once
-> ...

Watch out for it running on start of layout if the objects do not start touching each other - the event is still true in that case!

Would that work between two solid objects?

(sorry for my noobish questions, only got back into Construct earlier today)
