Thanks for your perspective. I'm also hoping that I might hear from mikeymushi what "an inbuilt multiplayer system" might look like from his perspective.

(I guess you might be interested to know why I'm interested I've done some work with nodejs and socket.io and wonder how they might be integrated with Construct 2 to allow multiplayer play.)Velojet2012-04-18 06:54:47

Well, if you're looking for multiplayer in Construct Classic then I made this game open source a while back: Pixel People Online

It uses SciDave's awesome Network Plugin, but unfortunately the plugin does have problems when high latency is involved (if a packet misses, it gets in an endless loop of resending, so it might be good to only play in-country or LAN multiplayer)Jayjay2012-04-18 18:02:42

If possible I would Imagine a wizard that would guide a single player game transitions to a multiplayer game.I would work as the facebook intergration or phonegap export in c2.
I know its a dream but would be very very cool for game builders.

Not sure how this would integrate into Construct 2, but you might want to try https://cloud.exitgames.com/. They have an HTML5 SDK...
