Export with NW.js won't work

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Sat Sep 12, 2015 11:55 am

First of all it says that script can't be minified because I need to install java but I have both x64 and x86 versions of the latest jdk installed.
When export is complete it reminds me that it was not minified but should play anyway. When I try to start the game nothing happens. When I open the taskmanager I find 4 instances of the "gametitle".exe doing nothing.

Is this a problem with windows 10 or is NW.js broken?

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I presume you have tried to uninstall then reinstall java - into the default locations - and the same for c2...?

The nw.js problem could be this bug (edit - or this bug)perhaps. Do you get an error in preview in nw.js?

To add - your minify problem could possibly be this one (if it used to work before r213): minify bug.

Yes that's what I did but keep in mind that it wont work with projects saved as a single file.

It does, a .capx is just a .zip file with the regular project structure inside (can be unzipped with anything, for example the regular windows explorer).
That said.. the method itself is of course only to be used in life threatening situations. You never know if something fundamental has changed. So always either save versions of your files manually or use a versioning tool like SVN/git/whatever.
