Fall through "jumpthru" moving platforms

Sometimes the player will fall through "jumpthru" moving platforms when you should land on them.

  • Press any button to jump, spam it for a minute.
  • See if you fall through the platform.

You'll often fall through the object when you should land on it! This usually happens at the bottom and top of the sine motion from my observations.

You should be able to land on the platform despite the motion.

Hello, I'd also like to say I'm having problems with this bug.

If you jump whilst the lift moves down you'll usually fall through it.

This is very difficult to resolve: occasionally, by chance, the platform movement moves down and is not overlapping anything. Then, in the same tick, the sine behavior moves the platform up, until it is overlapping the player. The next tick the platform behavior sees itself as wedged inside a jump-thru, which by design means it's ignored.

It's a tricky one to resolve, but I'll see if I can get it sorted...

I think I've come up with a fix for this. Let me know if it works for you in r118.

For the record, I'm having the same issue and it's driving me a bit nuts. I've endlessly tried modifying bounding boxes for the platforms, player, etc. etc. It happens with both solid and jump-thru behavior objects, incredibly frustrating. looking forward to the new revision, hopefully it fixes it!

Also, it doesn't just happen on a jump, it will often just happen when moving on the platform. All of a sudden, the player will just randomly fall through.
(and also, on platforms that move horizontally, the player will skip around, like if it is on the right side, it will glitch and move to the left of the tile when it reverses direction.)

seems much better in the new beta! just gave my game a playthru without falling through any vertically moving platforms! i know that's not any kind of extensive testing, but i did jump around quite a bit on them without any ill effects. awesome work guys! :)
