Fighting Game

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Tue Apr 02, 2013 11:20 pm

Hey Guys

I'm about to start a new project that will be a fighting game of some sort.

Is there any fighting games made using construct 2? Would really like to get some sort of direction rather than jumping straight into the deep end. I can see how complex a game like this could be.

Cheers!zoddTHEimmortal2013-04-02 23:47:32

I'm making a game that contains fighting elements involving button combinations and stuff. I find it quite straightforward to create, but that's only because I understand logic behind fighting games from looking at other fighting games. As long as you know how the fighting game system works, and that you understand Construct 2, then I reckon you won't have any problems.

Awesome cheers for the reply. I play somewhat competitively so I understand a lot of the design/logic that goes into fighting games. I'm planning to do a remake of dbz hyperdimension since I can find these sprites easily enough. I'll be giving it a more of a marvel vs capcom feel to it.

No problem, and good luck. I own a local arcade here where all of our professional players in Tucson, AZ train for tournaments and events so I know where you are coming from with the professional aspect. Good Luck.
