file association problem

For questions about using Classic.

Post » Sat Aug 20, 2011 12:27 pm

I uninstalled/reinstalled Construct earlier so now all of my .caps are no longer associated with Construct. Problem is, Construct isn't appearing on the file association list. I clicked browse to search for it, but after selecting Construct the menu closed and nothing happened. I restarted my computer and reinstalled Construct yet again but that didn't help.

Derp.

Any ideas?

I'm using Windows 7 btw.

Do it again. I did that too, and the first time I associated it with Construct, the menu also closed and Construct didn't pop up. So I just did it again and it did the trick.

Try it.

I was having the same problem in Windows Vista. I was able to fix it by running "regedit" and searching for "Construct". One of the registry entries was using the incorrect path where construct used to be installed.
