Finish an animation before playing another?

I am currently trying to figure out how to finish a movement animation before playing an idle animation. I have a slime like character who, when walking, moves its body up and down and an idle animation that barley moves up and down, like breathing. What i want is a smooth transition between the two. I want the movement animation to fully play before switching over to the idle animation. Any help?

Have you read the manual? https://www.scirra.com/manual/115/sprite

Have you tried 'On Finished' ?

Maybe upload what you have as a .capx so others can see where you are going wrong.
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.

Make sure the animation's looping is set to no. Ping pong also set to no. Repeat should be set to 1.
