Flicker between sprites

  • Heya guys, first post.

I've been using Construct 2 over the last week and I'm really starting to get into it, I have decided to make a basic platformer from scratch (I have done the tutorial but I want to see if I can do it by myself as well as experimenting). I have, however, ran into an annoying problem.

Between my sprites (notably, my "platform" sprites which I've been using to construct the level), have an annoying flicker when the camera follows my player sprite. There is no space between them, they are sitting directly next to each other.

My "platform" sprites are 64*64 blocks that I am using to construct the floor and walls.

Unfortunately I'm not at home at the moment so I can't upload my capx as an example. I was just wondering if anyone knew a way to fix this.

    Cheers in advance.

  • What exactly do you mean by flicker ? Are they playing an animation or something ?

  • It could be that they are placed between pixels. Go to the view ribbon and set snap to 1x1 grid. Then select all of your objects, move them away a little and back again with the mouse. I've found anything placed between pixels has small visual issues--particularly at edges.

Unless you have something else going wrong!

  • Try Construct 3

  • That seems to be the issue, C-7. Moved them all and they all seem to be fine now. Thanks to both of you. :)
