Hi,
I'm making a game and currently am using the font Arial. Will I need to pay for a license for it or not?
Thanks

From what I know if you own a graphical package, Photoshop for example, all fonts that come with it may be used by you in commercial projects.
Lets see what others have to say.
Brick by brick, stone by stone.

There might be a Disney Ariel font, but if you want a Frozen one you should just let it go.

Then there's this:

If your game will be hosted online, then i would look into google webfonts.

WOAH WHAT, if you make a video game and the software uses font thats built in, you can get slapped with licensing fees or lawsuits because it contains their copyrighted FONT? Is there built in warnings on export for most programs like microsoft that let you know when you are using proprietary owned copyrighted materials though? because if there is a lack of proper notice you can counter sue. Construct 2 and other programs like it aside, using Microsoft word to export a document for sale (e-book, or even an IP that you host for free) could apparently get you into hot water??

WHAT. Wow, looks like I need to make and use my own font, and open source it. This is madness.

I don't think that anyone would sue you over using Times New Roman or Arial, but there are some high quality fonts that you have to buy before using them. It's not a bad thing to pay attention for font licenses.
