Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Quite the newbie question but.. can a game created with construct be ported to xcode/java/etc?
Or does the program force you to create some sort of construct-only blackbox that cannot be ported anywhere else afterwards (imagine you wanted the java version to create a console version for example)?

A reply would be nice.. I realise it is probably a fairly basic question but I'm sure someone else besides me doesn't know either and would benefit for the knowledge!

Anything can be ported. @DatBoiDrew 's game Super Ubi Land is being ported to Unity for the Wii U.

I actually don't know much about this, but I'm guessing that porting sometimes involves (as it will in this case) a complete recreation of the game in another engine.

C2's event system is pretty similar to regular code with its functions and global variables and everything, so porting it shouldn't be much of a problem. Except you probably need to write everything into a text file manually. Also, depending on how much the game leans on pre-made C2 behaviours you'll have to write some kind of substitute for those as well.

C2 only outputs javascript and HTML5, but that can run on about as wide a variety of platforms as you can get.

Well, say for example I develop something with C2 (the paid version obviously) for iphone, does that generate something I can then edit from xcode directly, without having to open the project on C2?
