Fullscreen: Stretch?

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

I don't remember about older version of C2 introduced Stretched fullscreen could fit the whole screen... isn't a missing feature?

I really need it to fit the whole screen, doesn't matter if it looks ugly.

You mean the "Fullscreen in browser" -> "Scale" option? Is it missing in your version?

@ranma

It's different because Mobiles (iOS) don't support "Fullscreen in browser" im looking a workaround to stretch canvas to fit the whole screen.

In C2, sometimes we canget confused between Fullscreen from project settings and Fullscreen from browser plugin.

Bump, anyway i'm going to research to modify HTML tag canvas with CSS and some script to make it fullscreen to cover the whole screen.

If you don't want letterboxing, you can just use fullscreen scale, and base it on how you want to judge how much is shown. It automatically scales up until the viewport's larger dimension is the edge.

I would recommend a minimum for X and Y. You can set things at certain Window Width X's for GUI to give it a bigger screen.

Im trying to revive this thread, i couldn't find a solution to stretch the screen for browsers, i have a question, doesn't Browser plugin offer Screen expression like this:

function detect(){
if(screen.width<1280||screen.height<1024){
alert("This web page is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1280 by 1024 or higher. Your current resolution is "+screen.width+" by "+screen.height+". If possible please change your resolution.")
}
else{
alert("Whoa, you have a high resolution. Nice Job!")
}

Not sure if this is exactly what your looking for but its full screen with an object positioned in the centre at all times. This works for all mobile devices from iPhone3/4/5, Sony's, HTC's, iPad/iPad Mini and even iPad retina. Also retina doesn't look too bad up-scaled.

@Ashley, this is not a problem. I'm looking a solution to make stretch screen. Someone complains me he wouldn't see black spaces in background. (Not Canvas window)Joannesalfa2013-03-20 22:44:48
