We have a handfull of tutorials over at IndieGameDesigner.com but we're planning to launch a lot more soon so I'll post them here as they launch.

Tutorials will be in Illustrator, Photoshop, InkScape & Gimp.

Hope you find them useful!

Make Seamless Vector Tiles - Illustrator

This tutorial is done in Illustrator but you can easily follow along using InkScape or Gimp.

Please ask any questions you have in the comments section of the actual tutorial post, it'll save cluttering this thread.

Make A Sunburst Vector Background - Illustrator

Here is a link to the tutorial page.

This tutorial is done in Illustrator but you can easily follow along using InkScape or Gimp.

Blending Modes Reference - Photoshop

Here is a link to the tutorial page.

This is more of a guide/reference than a tutorial. It shows the various effects of the different blending modes in graphics programs. If you've ever come across the words 'Overlay' & 'Multiply' before and scratched your head - now you have a visual guide to show you what they do!

Please ask any questions you have in the comments section of the actual tutorial post, it'll save cluttering this thread.

Grunge Up Your Vectors - Photoshop

Here is a link to the tutorial page.

This tutorial is done in Photoshop but you can easily follow along using Gimp. The general idea is to use texture photos to add...well...texture to your vectors!

You can download some free texture/backgrounds here.

Please ask any questions you have in the comments section of the actual tutorial post, it'll save cluttering this thread.Kyatric2013-05-17 20:21:50

@indiegamedesign: could you please edit your first post to contain all the links/pictures/descriptions and refrain from double posting in the future please ?
Thanks in advance.

@Kyatric - Can't see any double posting, all new content with each new post. Nope, checked again, not one double post.

I know I've posted A LOT of new content on the Construct forums lately but that was just a backlogs of freebies because I'm new on here - it'll only be one new tutorial every couple of weeks and the new game asset every Monday.

I promise you, I'm not spamming - this is good, free content to help the community.

I think what @Kyatric meant is that you can summarize the number of posts, just editing the first post to contain all your updates, so it is usually easier, even for you to edit

Yes that's what I meant, and so I edited the thread myself...
Double post is posting several posts in a row when the actual content could fit in a single post.

@Kyatric So do you want me to just edit my first post for ALL future tutorials or did you only do that to tidy up my backlog of tutorials?

I'm new to the Scirra forums and I've never had this anywhere else so I want to be sure I'm posting right and not being disrespectful to the forum rules.
