game idea, kind of "7 Cities of Gold" game

Hello

I'm planing to create a game inspired by 7 Cities of Gold (old 8 bit game). It's a 4 direction scroll game with a really big universe (basically, you can travel on the Atlantic Ocean then visit all north and south America to find gold and trade/fight with natives).

I wonder if Construct 2 can support large scale games with ten of thousands or hundred of thousands tiles ?

I would not recommend drawing the entire map at once, I think it would be better to build the map as an 2Dimensional Array and draw only the area visible (or slightly larger). But IMHO it should be quite possible to do.

I would be interested to see this happen. Of course there's a lot work on building the world, filling it with item and events, balancing the game etc.
