game performance with sprite with 10 frames

hello,
I'm making a game for mobile phone and came across a problem in the game performance. I noticed that after I removed the animation of sprites, the problem stopped. Were 3 sprites, with 10 frames with 15 in speed loop. There was always 3 or 6 instances of these sprites. My question is: If 10 frames the game became gasping, how many frames I do the animation of sprites for the game run smoother?

It depends on the hardware, and how much memory your sprites use.

I tested on a Moto G (second generation). The sprites have 90x60px. How I can know how much each sprite uses memory?

Add up how many bites in folder, double that for the approximate uncompressed memory.
