  • Hey everybody,

Just getting started with Construct 2, and it looks amazing. My first project is going to be a simple whack a mole game. Does anyone have advice for making something like this for a complete newbie?

  • Check this topic and this post in this thread.

Download the capxs, it should be pretty straight forward from there.

If you are a complete newcomer, I advise you to start first with the link "New to Construct: where to start" and follow up the links and explanations it provides and complete a few beginners' tutorials to just get the perfect basis to get started and allow you to comeback to the whack-a-mole idea and being able to take it even further.

  • I created a Whack-A-Mole clone called Bonk The Gonk You're welcome to download the CAPX and see if there's anything in there that might help. I've added some comments but not many, just the main things.

  • Far out, thanks you two!

  • Now I just have to make my game fun...

    I didn't foresee this problem... ;)

  • I tried to use the Gonk game as a template but it's broken. After level one the Gonks just stop coming up. Not sure why.

I would also start with a simple game like the Whack-a-mole game.

Can you upload your files for a second time so I can use these files as reference?
