Ghost Shooter ('Rain demo' version)

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Wed May 01, 2013 4:48 pm

Hello After purchase construct 2 I just try to export a demo game shipped with construct 2 named : Ghost Shooter ('Rain demo' version) for my android device using cocoonjs .

And i successfully did it and install the game on my android device too.

But then I see that the game has no touch screen control. All is related to keyboard.

Can any one please tell me how to add touch control on that game so that I can play the game on my touch screen android phone?

Thank you

There are a number of touch tutorials that cover this topic in detail:
https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/398/touch-stick-controllers
https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/189/on-screen-touch-controls-for-button-games
https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/202/touch-controls-and-a-trick-to-detect-input-method

Also read this manual entry on the subject: https://www.scirra.com/manual/119/touch

But basically, the easiest way is to use on-screen "buttons" (sprites) that the player taps instead of the physical keyboard buttons. And in this case, you'd then create events to simulate control of the 8-direction behaviour and shooting mechanism.GeometriX2013-05-01 17:00:27

The 'Rain Demo' is really designed as a desktop game. I usually add touch controls if I can think of a good way to do it, but for that type of game it's hard to think of a way that touch control could be used as effectively as a keyboard & mouse.

'Space Blaster' has a better example of touch controls which works well on mobile.
