First was, why Construct (now Classic) can't export browser game.
Then people began to whining, why Construct 2 don't export to *.exe.
Now it's time for, why there is on IOS export, no Android etc.

If you go here there's a big sign sayin A visual HTML5 game development tool

And if you keep going you will find that eventually - here's all answers for your questions.

C2 is not Game Maker and it's not MMF, if you want more exporters make yourself a plugin or wait politely for develpers to finish their work.

Last words. After spending years in klick%play (or click&create - depends on the country), MMF, MMF2 and almost two hours in GM i can say CC and C2 are two best things that could happen for amatour game developer.

This.

But yeah, C2 is going to have more exporters, once HTML5 is done. Not only that, there will be an exporter sdk to make your own. You could have C2 export to the T-81 Calculator if you spent the (huge amounts of) time.

No need to get exasperated, his thoughts and concerns are valid. People coming into the community haven't been following the forums as much, and often ask a question without thinking to use search first, not to mention the FAQ link at the top of the forums doesn't even go to the FAQ. :/

A simple, friendly message stating "Your concerns have been adressed in the faq/forums, here's a link" takes less time to write, and keeps people happier! :)

I know I'm new here, but I'm going to throw in my two cents anyway.

Aside from yourself personally, what types of games do most people play?

Think on it. Do most people spend time playing $5.99 downloaded games on an ipad or psp? Or do most people play games on the web? Here's a relative example: Do most people listen to the radio and put up with the ads or do most go out of their way to pay for XM satellite radio?

First off...to play games on a droid, ipad or psp you have to actually have one. You have to go out and spend $200+.

But web based games require a computer (which essentially everyone has or can get access to) and an internet connection.

If there is any question as to whether people play web based games, I can pretty much guarantee more people have played Mafia Wars, Farmville, Castle Age and the other countless web based time wasters than all of those downloadable apps for different systems...especially since they are free to play.

So, take your pick.

I, for one, am like the vast majority. I like free entertainment. And if I do pay for a game it will likely be the newest Zelda or Final Fantasy game...probably not an indie developed app without viral features.

And that is why, in my opinion, that despite the new, cool gadgets released every 2 minutes, the internet will always be a viable contender.
