Grafiks blown up on Android

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Aug 16, 2013 12:44 pm

Hi,

I have a little problem with my projects Ive exported on Android. A game for example with 640 X 360 pixel in Chrome or Firefox on a normal PC has the same dimensions like a normal Jpeg file with 640 X 360 pixel.

Comparing the same game and the same Jpeg file on a Galaxy Tab 2 looks the first one blown up.

What must I do to get the real 640 X 360 pixel on an Android device?

Thanks

Roman

Didn't quite get what you were saying but get this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ideateca.cocoonjslauncher&hl=en_GB which is a must have.

CocoonJS allows for native-esque design.

Try that and come back to me if that doesn't work.

Maybe it's android browser playing tricks on you? Have you tried changing the view type to "Computer/PC view"? It's in the browser menu on android.

Hope it helps.

I could be wrong, but I believe these portable devices do not change resolutions. Where as a PC can do some hardware switching and handle all the resolution definitions Android and IOS can't. They use a locked resolution and you need to handle the difference between device resolutions by way of software.

Also using a browser to test resolution can give all sorts of inaccurate results. A browser will do what it can to make pages fit if not using browser commands to resize.

I would suggest using CocoonJS to test your resolution as that won't play any resolution tricks on the device.

It would be great to play it as a standard Html5 unwrapped website, but maybe its a softwarething on Android and IOS, yea...

Thanks!
