Gravity on a single sprite

Get help using Construct 2

Yeah, another noob question.

So my layers can rotate, which should cause the 'hero' to essentially fall off the bottom of the screen, unless he falls on a solid sprite. I thought of putting the hero on a different layer, but that isn't working either. Any input?

I have read on gravity posts but they don't really address my dilemma.

Use a force for that sprite to simulate gravity?
