I'm afraid I'd have to agree that Scirra have been a little over-eager in promoting mobile export, when it is not suitable for most games.

I'd just hate to see them lose customers based on a misunderstanding :(

Yeah. They should at least make an observation on current support of mobile for html5/webgl games. Which is very poor indeed. Yeah there's firefox mobile and stuff but it's use % is 0.06%. A way to go yet.

Yes, the host framework (like cocoon or phonegap) opens a frameless browser window and your c2 game runs within the os browser.

hence your game speed & capability are limited by the os browser. in case of iOS your game must be Safari compatible so you have to take care of what plugins you use too[/QUOTE]

Not exactly.
Phonegap and Appmobi-software does like you said, CocoonJS and Appmobi-directcanvas render all the gfx elements in a OpenGL ES accelerated canvas (note: WebGL and OpenGL ES are two different things).

My game just got approved on the app store.

I found two issues that I need to resolve so I will be releasing an update before this weekend.

I also just got my first game approved from apple late last night and it's available on the appstore.

This game is pretty simple so I was able to use PhoneGap with the LowLatency Plugin for phonegap. Compiled everything with Xcode so I was able to include iAds as well.

Already my game as made more on the Apple App Store in ad views in 8 hours than the same game has on Google Play running AdMob for the last week. Just an FYI.

You didn't make that with an unregistered version of C2 though, I imagine. 20 levels, only 100 events? Unlikely.teahousemoon2012-10-04 23:19:27
