Help! My capx got damaged!

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Fri Jun 14, 2013 6:12 pm

I was working on my game and the power went down for a moment. Now I can't open my .capx file. Damn it, I can't even open the backup file C2 creates by default. Why is that???!!!! What's the purpose of making automatic backups if they are kept engaged while working and exposed to such a risk for getting damaged? It says "Unable to open [filename] for unzipping". Help me, I'm desperate.

excellent :)

by "use .cap" I meant: Use .caproj, it saves the folder uncompressed.

That's the thing actually. Both the .capx and the .capx.backup1 were damaged.

@Kurajber - if you set up alternative backups, you should have e.g. a daily backup in a different folder to fall back to (which is different to the .backup1 file), which increases the chance your work is safe.
