[HELP]RPG character movement animations

Get help using Construct 2

Hey,guys,

using the 8 directions behavior (actually,i'm using 4),i am changing the walking and idle animations using state variables,but the problem is,for example,if i press "UP" while i'm walking left,then i am going up while the left animation is playing,and,that's the same thing in right,down and etc,so,can you help me?thanks

In order to get a good 4-direction angling going for my RPG, I've used "Compare round(Player.Angle / 90) * 90" and check it to see if it's equal to 0, 90, 180, or 270. Then I set the animation accordingly.

Player is moving
System: Compare round(Player.Angle / 90) * 90 = 90
----> Set Player Animation to Walk South
