Here are a few links on the subject. I am in the HTML 5 camp. The fact that you can play it on mobile devices makes HTML 5 very attractive.

One thing one of the articles brings up is the power of one SWF file and I agree. What would be awesome is if you could render an HTML 5 file like a swf file. mammoth2012-02-14 18:11:21

Well that's kind a strange comparison IMO, Flash been here for many years now, HTML5 (especially games) are quite new technology.

I give HTML 5 2 years at the most before it's more accepted than flash.

I think I can agree with that, HTML5 develops really nice and fast.

Terrible, but it's mainly true. nevertheless i think that html5's growth speed and spread compared to flash some kind of stagnation will make it a primary game engine through canvas and javascript in no time, I also give html5 1 - 2 years before it's more adopted than flash.

I would probably say 2 years at the most and it will be more adopted. In 5 years people will say "WTF is flash"

This is all terrible tales. HTML5 simply too young to argue in the flash in full force and effect. But it has many advantages. Even its flaws are an advantage.

Many files - good. It is easier to update the game.
3D - still show themselves in the future.
Stealing code - store information in a database.
(code in Flash is not a secret)
The introduction of malicious code - in Flash it was much earlier and continues to this day.

The absence of massive support for HTML5 - a struggle with publishers and sponsors who want to earn money on the already tested systems. Flash has brought billions of money income, and HTML5 yet. Why be afraid of the creators of games? The game is done - the game is sold. Afraid of the publisher.DrNickTo2012-02-15 13:22:36
