hero glide

For questions about using Classic.

Its probably easy to make but i can't think clear lately so im asking you for help.

How is the easiest way to do a hero gliding after a jump when i hold the jump button ?

I've used the standard platform movement and then added when i hold the "up key" (after counting to 20) it sets the gravity to 0 and my character is slowly gliding down.

It was everything working on my laptop but when i played it on my old computer the hero started to fly away , i know it depends on the V-sync and i tried to add timedelta to the counters and movements but i failed . So could anyone help me in this cause i stuck in that point and cant move my project any further. I would appreciate any respond to this :)

Perhaps instead of setting the gravity, set the y component of motion?
